ReplyDeleteMaycomb County is where Scout, her family, and her friends live. Maycomb County is a very poor town, and nothing exciting happens here.
Chapter 1-"All About Maycomb"

Chapter 2-"Scout's First Day of School"
ReplyDeleteChapter 2 would be named, "Scout's First Day of School," because it discusses how Dill goes back to Meridian and Scout begins school. She has a rough first day because Miss Caroline doesn't understand how the town works and she punishes Scout for talking out.
Chapter 5= In a Boring Summer's Day

NV
Chapter 3-"Scout V.S. People of Maycomb"
ReplyDeleteI thought that this is what chapter 3 should be named this because Scout reacts so negatively towards Walter at dinner and not only that, but you meet the nasty kid, Burris Ewells. Nasty as is mean, but i guess he could be gross too.
Chapter 3- " Some people are Scum and Some are Great"

ReplyDeleteI chose that title because Jem makes up a game about Boo Radley. The game is mostly Dill, Jem, and Scout acting as Boo, Mr. and Mrs. Radley.

ReplyDeleteI chose this title because there is kind of a separation between Jem and Dill and Scout. The two boys got really close while Scout spend her days with Miss Maudia.

RD
Chapter 6 - "The Note and Lost Pants"
ReplyDeleteIt is Dill's last day here in Maycomb County, and him and Jem decide to try and give Boo Radley a note to come outside. They sneak around his house, and go onto his porch. While trying to go under the fence, Jem's pants get caught, and in order to run quickly, he struggles out of them, and leaves them there.
Chapter 4 "Schools Out, Summers In"

They use a fishing pole to stick the note in a window of the Radley residence, while doing this Atticus catches them and tells them to stop bugging the Radley's.
Chapter 5-"Isolated with Miss Maudie"
ReplyDeleteIn this chapter, Jem and Dill isolate Scout. Jem and Dill don't really allow Scout to hangout with them because they think she is a coward and such a girl. Meanwhile, Scout spends time with Miss Maudie. Not only does the reader learn a lot about Miss Maudie, but also her perspective on whether Boo is alive or not.
RD

ReplyDeleteI named this chapter The Radely Place because Jem, Dill, and Scout all sneak over to the Radely's house to peak through the window to see if they can see anything. Also there is gossip about Nathan Radely.
Chapter 6-"Asking For Trouble"
ReplyDeleteI feel that chapter 6 should be called this because Dill wants to go look through the window of the Radley place to see Boo. Stupidly, Jem agrees and Scout follows. They think nothing will happen to them, even after getting caught or in trouble everytime they've tried. They were asking for trouble.

They use Miss Maudie's sunhat and hedge clippers to disguise the figure that looked like Mr. Avery. That night, fire had struck Miss Maudie's house.
